The Delhi government has started the admission process for Delhi Model Virtual School (DMVS), which is affiliated to the Delhi Board of School Education, for academic year 2022-23.
DMVS is an online school with all the features of a regular school. It is, however, available only for classes 9 to 12. For the current academic year, admission has started for Class 9. English and Hindi will be medium of instruction.
For admission to Class 9, students must be aged between 13 and 18 years at the time of enrolment and should have passed Class 8 from a recognised school. They must produce the mark sheet for verification. Students living outside Delhi can join the school but they will have to come to Delhi to write exams.
Students who wish to enrol for Class 9 should register online at the official website – dmvs.ac.in – before September 4, 2022.
The school offers six foundational subjects for Class 9 – English, Hindi, Mathematics, Science, Social Science and Computer Science with diverse options of enrichment courses. DMVS imparts education online with the help of technology, which allows students to learn remotely without the need to be physically present in school. Its certification is valid at par with CBSE as well as other state boards.
Just like a regular school, DMVS offers subject-wise live classes during school hours. Plus, there will be recorded classes, audio-video content and supplementary notes. Practicals will also be conducted online, using the school platform’s virtual lab simulation technology.
According to the DMVS website, the school platform allows students and teachers to connect through live classes, tutorials in smaller groups and one-on-one mentoring for academic as well as personal support. Tutorials are meant to help students clear their doubts on any particular subject.
