The Kerala government has decided to conduct the annual Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examinations from March 31 to April 29, 2022. Plus two and vocational higher secondary examinations will be held between March 30 and April 22.
Announcing the exams schedule at a press meet on Monday, Kerala general education minister V Sivankutty said the IT practical exams of the SSLC would be held between March 10 and 19 while plus two practical exams would be held from February 21 to March 15. Vocational higher secondary practicals would be held between February 15 and March 15, the minister added.
For both SSLC and plus two, model tests would be conducted in each stream between March 21-25 and March 16-21, respectively.
According to a government circular, the SSLC examinations will be conducted in Malayalam, English, Kannada and Tamil mediums.
The ratio of marks allotted between written examination and continuous evaluation (CE) is 80:20 for English, Mathematics and Social Sciences, while it is 40:10 for other papers except information technology. For IT, the ratio for CE, theory and practical test is 10:10:30.
Two-and-a-half hours is the time allotted for examinations having a maximum of 80 marks, while it is one-and-a-half hours for exams carrying 40 marks.
Only the grade, and not the marks, will be recorded in the SSLC certificate, the notification said.
